Emerald Spirit Designs has evolved from my children's passion for Irish Dance. Around 8 years ago I found myself taking my eldest daughter to her first Feis, so much sparkle and so, so much hair! Over the years we have only become more deeply involved in the world of Irish Dance with my second child now also competing.

As my children grew (both physically and in their dancing) it became time for them to move into solo dresses. I had so much difficulty finding a dress for my eldest due to size, cost and aesthetics that I ended up making her first solo dress. I have been working with Irish Dance dresses and hairpieces ever since, gradually refining my 30 years of sewing experience for this unique style.

I absolutely adore working on Irish Dance wear. From the hundreds of designs I've sketched in my free time to the embroidery process, getting a dress to fit just right, not to mention all the bling! It is my goal to enable all dancers to feel confident and powerful in what they wear on stage.
